چکیده

With the increasing application of composite materials in anti-impact structure, development reliable rate-dependent interlaminar constitutive model becomes necessary. This study aims to assess and evaluate applicability three types cohesive models (logarithmic, exponential power) numerical delamination simulation, through comparison with dynamic test results double cantilever beam (DCB) specimens made from T700/MTM28-1 laminate. Crack propagation length history profiles are extracted calibrate models. contours fracture toughness data predicted, compared investigate difference different The variation zone force implemented is also investigated. suggest that crack can be better predicted by logarithmic power Although well calculated tends higher than experimental measured results. show differences prediction maximum loading forces. this work provide useful guidance for more efficient interface failure simulation impact problems.

Simulation of the Mode I fracture of concrete beam with cohesive models

Crack propagation modeling in quasi-brittle materials such as concrete is essential for improving the reliability and load-bearing capacity assessment. Crack propagation explains many failure characteristics of concrete structures using the fracture mechanics approach. This approach could better explain the softening behavior of concrete structures. A great effort has been made in developing nu...

Developing a Mode Ii Fracture Model for Composite Laminates

Delamination is a critical form of failure in composite laminates which is partitioned into a combination of three pure modes namely; opening, shearing and tearing (modes I, II and III respectively). Each fracture mode contributes to the total energy required for delamination growth, due to a combination of the different damage mechanisms that occur under each mode 1-2 . To formulate reliable m...
